In Chile, protests erupted in 2011-2013 all over the country. Young people demanded an end to the for profit education that led millions of student in debt, when they were lucky enough to be able to pay for education.
Facing a regularly violent police, protesters were often chased by armoured vehicules in a smog of tear gas.
The student didn't win this inequal fight, but did participate in the fall of popularity of the president Piñera
